Ergonomic desk products should
allow you to sit with your legs at right angles to the floor, with
either your feet resting on the floor or on a footrest. You should
have good lumbar support and be able to site straight comfortably,
not leaning back or hunching forward. Your arms should also sit
so that your elbows are at your sides, not out from your body or
forward towards your desk. Your upper and lower arm should form
a right angle when your hands are at the keyboard or on the desk.
Computer monitors should sit at arm's length and your gaze should
be directly forward when looking at the top one-third of the screen.
The monitor should be tilted slightly backwards to reduce glare.
Choosing products with these recommendations in mind will greatly
improve your performance and the strain on your body.
